Bird blind at Pennypack restored

A damaged bird blind has been restored in the Pennypack Park woods, near the Environmental Center off Verree Road.

The original bird blind was part of a 2003 project that included wood sculptures and sitting benches.

During a violent storm last year, trees fell, crushing a side of the blind and destroying feeders just outside the blind.

The Fairmount Park Historic Trust funded the reconstruction project, which was completed by Architectural Millwork Associates. ••
